I tried "The Glue", liked it on the the mixbuss but preferred the 2500. I tried the other Softube compressors and they weren't for me. So, I thought there may have been a compressor of great standard for less. My reason behind this is how impressed I have been at some of the new plugins popping up at very reasonable prices (eg. I wasn't super keen on forking out $300ish on the Softube CL1B but if it's the best I might just have to save the $.
Going to try the OldTimer and Stillwell comps. What I'm looking for is excellent compression for individual tracks namely Vocals, Guitars (AC and ELEC) & Bass. I have and use the Waves API2500 (!) on the mixbuss and think it's AMAZING! I also have the SSL Comp which I like on the drum buss (parallel). Will keep an eye on the product updates - anyone tried it on AU? Thanks everyone for your wonderful contributions and ideas! Molot sounds worth trying but from what I can gather the AU version is still in beta (I run LOGIC).
